If the CNET arctle is so wonderful, why then did they leave out the Sony PRS-T1?The Huffington articles just basically said nothing useful.
I do wish you'd read these articles before linking them. They are all garbage. They don't do anything in terms of proper reviews.
That article is garbage. They totally left out the Sony Wi-Fi PRS-T1 and that maekes the results for eink reader worthless. The T1 is better then the Kindle Touch and it's better then the nook STR.
Get the Sony Wi-Fi PRS-T1 while they are on sale for $99. ePub, Wi-Fi, download from the library without the need for a computer and touch screen. It so blows away the Kindle.

Also, eReader has poor code under the hood as it was never a good format.
Bluefire also allows borrowing of eBooks in ePub and PDF now. This is the only app to do so. iBooks does not.
I have a Sony Reader PRS-650 and it is very nice. It uses the same Pearl screen that the K3 uses. Also, the touch interface makes it much nicer then a K3. Also, the 650 handles ePub and PDF. While PDF's are not great, they do work better on a 650 then a K3.As for eBooks, most eBook shops sell ePub these days and a lot of libraries support ePub eBooks.
Go to a local SonyStyle shop and have a look at the 650. It just is very good.

It's only $15 for a year. Very much worth it. Have you started the joining process yet?
It is. take a look at their collection and you'll see it is a good value.http://freelibrary.lib.overdrive.com
Good luck with your library and eBooks. One thing you can do is join the Free Library of Philadelphia for $15 for a year. They have a pretty good collection.
I don't think you'll find Freedom in eBook from your library. It's not available from Overdrive that I can see other then ePub for the UK.
It helps to have a library that's willing to fill requests for eBooks. I find some libraries get too many romance eBooks.
I have some that allow outside borrowers. That's 2. I have 1 that a friend is letting me use. I have 3 that are local and eventually, I'll be getting another local library card. So there you have it.
Eventually, I'll have 7 library cards. Just have to find the time to go to the library to register for #7.
1. Run Reader Library2. Double click Library
3. Click Purchased
4. Pick a book and double click
5. To the left of the title in the red bar just above the book, click the gray and white i. That will show you the path of the book.
Bluefire allows you to use iTunes to put the books on the iPad.
One place I use a lot to get eBooks these days is the LIBRARY. I have access to six different libraries.
if you use the Bluefire app for the iPad, you will be able to use the ePub eBooks that have DRM that your Sony can use. It looks like a really nice app.
Connie wrote: "Along the same topic - does anyone know if you can buy ebooks from Barnes & Noble or Borders that are compatible with Sony? (I think they sell e-pub format books, I just wasn't sure if you can do ..."Borders ePub are compatible with Sony Readers. B&N use a different DRM on their ePub. So to get them onto a Sony Reader, you would first have to strip the DRM.
