So far, I'm about 50-60 pages in. Around chapter 6. Neu that Ape was pretty ridiculous. So far I think the writing is really beautiful. Kind of elegant in a way, like I don't feel overwhelmed by it, but I also think it paints a really clear picture.
I'm not sure if Dan has finished but, I would be done for player one bar Friday night.

That would be cool. A direct brain interface for the OASIS. People would essentially be reduced to matrix pod humans, only needing to be awake to procreate.
There have been points where the references have been a little much for me too. Also, one of my first thoughts about the OASIS is that it reminds me of the Inception, where people prefer the simulated reality (in inception's case dreams). I think the OASIS reminds me of an extreme version of that. Just a thought.
