I totally didn't mean to repeat the line in the last comment about not being interested in a character who didn't desire to grow and change. Somehow I stuck it in from copy and paste...leftover from editing. Ugh. So plead just disregard it. :)
I absolutely don't think she had to be a better person to deserve love and forgiveness. Like you, I would like to think that she grew over time. I love flawed people. But I'm not interested in people who don't desire to grow and change. Either way, better person or not, a large part of me loved Phillip because his love for NC-17 was unconditional. He loved her...flaws and all. It doesn't matter who understands that love...because it existed between them. For them.
I know there was some MAD hate (too strong?) for my girl Natalie. But I loved her...I didn't love everything she did, but I loved her. I love a complex, complicated, MESSY character. AS LONG AS THAT CHARACTER DESIRES TO GROW. I truly believe that Natalie wanted to change, a lot of people questioned if she truly did change. I believe she did. So, here it is...did she? Was Natalie a better woman because of PG 13?
