132289 Ok...back on track here. The beginning is great. Levitation, tiger taming, guru exploration, traveling, love, god, rebellion against parents...it's really a great start to what is setting up to be a great memoir.

The language feels old. The incessant citations in the copy that I'm reading make me feel as if I should be more studied.

I frequently felt like a westerner getting a glimpse on a different perspective.

All of this I'm grateful for as I move into the next chapters of the book...

I have a strong feeling that Mukundu will be a lifelong friend...

Agreed Karen. The language is like an old English text, which I was lucky enough to read too much of in college, but even with that I'm slower than normal.

132289 Not me Laura. I have the paperback. I'm only about 80 pgs. in at this point. But I'll be moving much faster with an open schedule next couple of weeks...

132289 So, I've been practicing yoga for about 3 years now daily. I only recently started reading about yoga and I'm even more fascinated about the intellectual side of the practice than I am with the physical side. I'm really looking forward to digging into this book.
