Tv Show Name: Fringe

Actors: Joshua Jackson, Anna Torv, John Noble

Score: (out of 10) 10

What is it about? (No spoilers) This show is about a fictional division of the FBI (the Fringe team) that deals with strange events that have to do with new technologies and science being used to do bad, more happens in later seasons but i don't give spoilers!!

What was good? (No spoilers) Great acting, the characters all have many sides and they seem like real people. The story is also fantastic, provide ing a 'murder of the week' that builds into something greater. The 'set up' of this show is very similar to Supernatural. This show also makes me laugh and cry. There is not a very large fandom, but that doesn't really matter. There are exactly 100 episodes and I'm so sad it is over. This is also one of my top 3 favorite shows.

What was bad? (No spoilers) There is also violence in this, but it is less fighting, more weird stuff (a man turns into strange beast, there is a centipede-like creature inside someone else) and more like that.

Tv Show Name: Supernatural

What is it about? (No spoilers) This show is about two brothers that fight and hunt ghosts, monsters, demons, and more after something kills their mom. The show just keeps escalating from there.

What was good? (No spoilers) Where to start?? The acting is great! Misha Collins (who shows up in the 4th season) continues to amaze me, he's one of the best actors on tv right now. The story is involving and continues to make you laugh and cry (often at the same time) This show is starting season 10 in October, and as a warning it and it's massive fandom are extremely addicting. IT IS A ONE WAY DOOR INTO THE FANDOM!!! Just watch this show, it is one of my top 3 favorite tv shows!!!

What was bad? (No spoilers) There is quite a bit of violence and blood, lots of fighting (people being mauled by creature and killed and burning on the ceiling) and the first few episodes are pretty scary,

Movie Name: The Cornetto Trilogy Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World's End

Director: Edgar Wright

Actors: Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, many others

Score: (out of 10) 9

What is it about? (No spoilers) These movies are a "trilogy" featuring the same actors playing different characters in each movie. They are comedies, with very british humor ;-) I was laughing the whole time through all of them. Shaun of the Dead is a zombie movie, Hot Fuzz is a cop movie, and The Worlds End is an alien movie.

What was good? (No spoilers) These movies are packed with hilarious context and the stories are actually very, very good. The dialogue is very witty and well, british! I also love Edgar Wright's style of direction, he uses many close ups to show what is happening and it is just amazing the way it turns out.

What was bad? (No spoilers) The only "bad" part of these movies is the language, there is violence, but all of it is quite silly and hilarious. There are a TON of bad words and inappropriate remarks, but there is nothing visually inappropriate. Still, don't watch it with your younger siblings!!!

So Legend By Marie Lu (one of my favorite books) is becoming a movie!! They haven't started work on it, but CBS films and Temple Hill have the rights to it. If they DOake it into a movie soon I really hope that they do the casting right (ex. DAY IS ASIAN) and I hope they go for more of a futuristic-city-at-war than a dystopian society. The society in legend actually works, and makes sense (for the most part) They also actually REMEMBER THE USA!!
I don't know why so many Dystopian books make it seem like everyone just forgot About the USA, it makes no sense whatsoever. And in legend they also mention and go to other parts of the world. (I love you Antarctica!)

Book Name: In The Shadows

What is it about? (No spoilers) hmm. I don't know what to say without spoiling anything so I'll just say this-it is full of witchcraft, evil, demons, and that kind if fun stuff

What was good? (No spoilers) this book is told in half pictures with no words (the art is amazing) and half in writing. The story is very complex and the charachters are fantastic, along with the writing. I have never read any thing like it story wise or concept wise. I loved this book

What was bad? (No spoilers) the story is a little hard to follow at times due to the switching concepts.

Other? I got this book before it came out at wondercon 2014 in April. I went to a YA authors panel and met both the authors. They are both so nice!!! Kiersten White actually lives in Carlsbad and her husband want to oakcrest! My copy of the book is also signed by both the authors!

Book Name: Steelheart

Author: Brandon Sanderson

Score: (out of 10) 9

What is it about? (No spoilers) This book is about a society where the central government has been destroyed and is being run by mutant like-super villains. No one knows how/why people started getting powers.

What was good? (No spoilers) I loved the way this book was written, it was full of action and the story flowed fluidly. O me it seemed like it was written to be turned into a movie, there was a lot of action, but not in the form of pointless fight scenes, an there were no points when the story felt dragged on. The last few chapters are full of turns and surprises!! I read this book in about 3 days!

What was bad? (No spoilers) there wasn't that much that was bad about this book. The tensors didn't really make any sense but just about everything else was great. I can't wait for #2!!!

Movie Name: Much Ado About Nothing (2012)

MPAA: Pg-13

Director: Joss Whedon

Actors: Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Reed Diamond, Nathan Fillion, Clark Gregg, Fran Kranz, Sean Maher, Jillian Morgese

Score: (out of 10) 8

What is it about? (No spoilers) This movie is an adaptation of Shakespears play. It follows the lines from the play exactly, the only difference is that there is modern technology. Some people say the Much Ado About nothing is the original rom-com (romantic comedy) and I totally agree. This movie was filmed in 12 days at Joss Whedons house during his 2 week break between filming and editing The Avengers.

What was good? (No spoilers) This movie was just great. It is filmed in black and white, which works really well for it. The acting was great and they did a great job of keeping this movie just like the play except for the fact that it takes place 400 years later. The soundtrack was also fantastic. All the songs were written by joss whedon and sung by joss Whedons brother and his brothers wife. I really recommend this movie.

What was bad? (No spoilers) I don't have anything bad to say about this movie. It is a little hard to follow, like most of Shakespears works, but is it fantastic. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is because it is a adaptation and not an original idea.
