Winter BS 1963 is an almost uncanny depiction of living your life along side someone with mania of some sort. I remember reading and thinking "how many times have I been here before?" How many times had I been pulled away from my geeky pursuits to be roped in to "helping" with some task that seems ill conceived and poorly timed.

I was often yelled at more than JOI was in this passage, but I still empathize profusely. There is so much tension and fear through this section that it's surprisingly that it has an otherwise happy ending (especially contrast to the grim nature of a few previous sections involving the Antitoi bros and the various heavy discussion at the AA meetings)
