135338 I am so excited to read Warrior Witch! I just really hope that I am satisfied with all of the answers we're given. I really want to know more about the Royal Family's past and everything!

Trollus is a complete category 5 right now, I'd imagine. That must be fun...

I will say that I did feel bad for Anushka, buuut she was the one who literally kept killing members of her own family afterwards to keep them trapped. Isn't that a little ironic? You definitely satisfied my expectations for a compelling backstory for her, but I was already kinda convinced they shouldn't be freed...except maybe some of them

135338 1. It really depends on what the characters are like in a certain book. If I'm reading a book and I think two characters are a good match, I'll obviously root for them, but there are books where I am perfectly satisfied with no romance. Sometimes, I even get annoyed when there is a romance that's so obviously just there for the sake of there being one.

4. Welp, that's awkward isn't it. The witch that put the curse on your family is my ancestor.

5. Oh, I think I know what she meant by that. I think what's she's saying is that he knows how freaking magical and powerful and otherworldly he is. She thought he'd be someone that she could feel sorry for, but she was wrong. She feels that he had the ability to save Cecile from her pain.

135338 1. I think I may have once or twice, but I can't remember a specific title. For the most part though, I keep reading because if I like that series enough to really have a favorite chracter, it has other redeeming qualities for me as well.

3. I thought it was more of an Angoulême scheme, and I too was digusted. I think I hadn't really made up my mind about Lessa before that, but after this...You know how much I love (REAL) Anais lol

5. I'm not going to say too much, but I was definitely starting to have some suspicions that it was a lot closer to her than she thinks.

135338 I can't say for other people, but if I were an author, I would read reviews of my book. I think it can be a good way to learn from and reflect on your work. Obviously, I would just ignore the reviews that are plain rude :D

Omg I had no idea Catherine was based on a real person! I just looked her up, and she's very interesting. I had no idea Europe ever had a poison craze!

135338 1. Very rarely, do i reread a book before the next one comes out. I usually read like maybe the last 50 pages or so as a refresher? Sometimes I try really hard to look for a summary lol

2. Yeah, I wouldn't ask me that question. I'm not here to be any kind of opinion on hunting, I can barely climb the stairs without wanting to take a nap.

4. YESSSSSS! I WAS THINKING YESSS you cruel woman!

135338 Cliffhangers always make me frustrated but not necessarily in a bad way! If it's reasonable, I'm still sad but excited at the same time. If the author just cuts off like mid scene randomly, we might have a problem lol

omg I have never felt this way at all! I hope not, at least! I have always tried to judge every character's mistakes and actions fairly in a book. I try to look at their character so far and decide if what they just did makes sense for them and if they learn from their mistakes. I try really hard to not judge Tristan and Cecile unfairly, so I'm not sure what it could be. Maybe they think because he's a prince, he has more responsibility and harder decisions? ughhhhh i hope not

135338 It's so cool to read scenes from both their perspectives. *sigh* now if only i could watch the whole thing happen!

I agree with everyone who's said it's probably because they've become so common and many aren't written well haha. They tend to be used as a plot device to create more drama and can seem really unnecessary. I'd be interested in a love triangle as long as:

1. There are valid reasons why there is one.
2. The people involved aren't ridiculously indecisive.
3. There is something that makes it interesting other than "i love you!!! oh wait...i love them too....i think"

135338 I don't really love or hate prologues. It depends on whether or not the particular book needs one, so I'll definitely read it if it's there. I completely understand why Marc bonded with Penelope. When you love someone, it doesn't matter what kind of affliction they may have, you just want to be with them and close to them for as long as possible. I may have had a small apprehensive feeling about the maybe love triangle, but SO GLAD there isn't one!

135338 I don't get upset if they change the plot unless it's really dramatic and unecessary. I get that sometimes they have to change some things so it flows better, and I'm okay with that. I do like it most when they stick to the book as closely as possible though. I'm really excited for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them!

135338 I love Tristan's friendship with Anais, and it doesn't bother me at all that they have a history. I feel like a lot of books do this thing where it's like "we broke up and now things will be weird forever and i hate you blah blah", and I really like that it's not like that between them. They care about each other, and they want each other to be happy. That's what friends are.

LOL if you know me, you'll know that I love a good "i don't trust him/her, but DAMN are they attractive?!" moment. The chemistry is great.

Lol right? I was like "oooh Cecile AWKWARD" and had to turn away for a second haha

135338 Whether or not I imagine myself into the book and how I do it really depends on the novel itself. For instance, if the heroine just had a really good line or if her friend just made a hilarious joke, I'll just relish in that moment for a couple seconds. It's fun to take on the perspective of various characters. Also if it's like a romance novel, I will probably distance myself, as a character, from the main couple just to enjoy watching them vs. an adventure/fantasy, I'm completely apart of the action, if that makes sense?

Oh no. I would not be bonded to anyone. I'm scared of feelings.

If I were Cecile I would try and learn as much as possible about my surroundings, while also trying to find a way to escape and save my friends, so basically what she's already doing.

I don't know if my favorite part has happened yet, but it's not a spoiler or anything.

It's when Tristan is taking his clothes off and Cecile is like "oh my god he's REALLY good looking I kinda want to..." and Tristan is like "oh no, she's blinded by my hotness" and freezes mid-change cause they can sense each other's thoughts. I smiled a lot reading that. and re-reading that.

135338 *spoiler alert*

I always knew that Tristan and Cecile was the way to go. I really love Marc and think that he is great, but I like him much better as a wingman/best friend/advisor to Tristan. I feel like a part of Marc will always love his lost love and it just wouldn't feel right. I wish Anais's sister hadn't died, it kills me to see him so sad.

I definitely need good backstory in my fantasies. Action is great, but it only works if I understand why it is happening and if I care about the characters. Of course, too much backstory drags as well. You need the perfect balance.

From what I remember, Cecile is remarkably smart about the situation, so I probably wouldn't have done many things differently. That's one of the things that made me respect this series, she wasn't ridiculous like a lot and I mean a lot of other protagonists.

Oh gosh. There are so many great fantasies. I don't think I can choose a favorite!
