"Okay." Crosby led the way to the Ferris wheel and they got in line. She stood on her tiptoes to look over the crowds shoulders, as she was too short to see very far. "Ugh, I hope this line clears up soon."
Crosby nodded. "Yeah, that'd be great." She laughed lightly. "So, you guys want to go on some rides? Or not...?"
Crosby nodded. "Yeah...I always feel weird coming here by myself. Like, I'll either be judged for being alone without friends or a boy-" she rolled her eyes. "Or I could get kidnapped by a serial killer. You know carnivals and fairs are high risk for kidnappings." She sighed. "Sorry. I'm too pessimistic." She winced.
Crosby grinned. "Yeah. Agreed." She paused and they slipped into an awkward silence. "So have y'all ridden any of the carnival rides or anything?" She asked casually.
Crosby nodded. "I understand. I just tend to stay away from people because I usually don't like them." She winced. "Er, you're fine... Uh, just other people." She sighed. "My social wasp is coming out," she joked. Crosby glanced at Valerie. "Uh, hey. Valerie right?"
"Oh, yeah." Crosby laughed lightly. "Sorry again. But I understand about the social thing. I'm not exactly a societal butterfly. More like a social wasp." She snorted, shaking her head in amusment.
"Oh, yeah. Uh, Maddie?" Crosby asked. "What's up?" She asked awkwardly, brushing some fly away hairs off her face. She noticed the other girl she'd met, Valerie maybe, and smiled kindly at her.
When Crosby realized she got ketchup on her shirt she groaned loudly and got up to go get a napkin. On her way to stomp over to a vendor grumpily, she slammed into a girl with earbuds on accident. "Oh! Gosh, I'm sorry." Crosby blushed deeply. "Sorry..."
Crosby Ann was sitting on a bench, eating a corn dog while she watched people going around enjoying the carnival. She swung her converse-clad feet and smoothed out her T-shirt and shorts, which has crumbs all over them. As it was scorching outside, Crosby put her hair up in a pony.
"Yeah, y'all should come. And Madigan is a super cool name, by the way. And Elyse." Crosby smiled. "But, yes, I'm burning up..." She fanned her face with a sigh. Crosby did love being out in the sun, though, whether it was going swimming or tanning by the beach. She tanned easily, so that made it nicer too.
((OMG I remember that show! Mr. Madigan! Whoa... That just brought back a lot of memories... Im feeling so nostalgic because I loved that show >.<))
"I'm Crosby Ann. Weird, I know, blame my parents," Crosby grumbled. "Uh, nice to meet y'all." She pursed her lips, which was a common habit of hers, especially when she was concentrating.
"Uh, no. I'm unemployed and almost always broke," Crosby mumbled. After another long, awkward pause and exhaled. "So...this is awkward... Am I right?"
