Hi, Im hoping to get a group together to read The Difference Engine August 15th and other alternative history books in the future.

In Man in the High Castle, Philip K. Dick suggests that if the Nazis had won, they would have made great technological advances in a much shorter time, possibly because of their disregard for ethics in science. Specifically, Dick has the Nazis colonizing Mars in the 1960s. What do you think? If there was a WW2 axis victory, would we be living in a more technologically advanced society?
