I found this Monday's Thrilling Tale in the New Yorker. Not too many of them work for this program, but T.C. Boyle's "The Lie," about a guy who makes up a story to stay home from work and the story just grows and grows, is right in the pocket.

Lu and I havew a game: she starts reading the New Yorker story aloud, and I try to guess who wrote it. I'm not very good, but some of them are giveaways - the recent Joyce Carol Oates, for instance - just got that feeling in the gut right away.
