A book review on Drums, Girls and Dangerous Pie By Jordan Sonnenblick Steven loves thinks his little brother Jeffery is pretty bad, but when Jeffery is suddenly diagnosed with cancer Steven realizes he is going to have to step up and be a good big brother. It isn't easy at first Steven has to put up with puke on his shoes, being banished from the house, and turning away the girl of his dreams. But together Steven and Jeffery realize the importance of family.
I thought this was an AMAZING book! I thought that by narrating from Stevens perspective instead of Jeffrey's you saw interesting views that really gave an way of seeing the situation. I would recommend this book to any one!

Stargirl is an amazing book about Leo Borelock and Stargirl/Susan Caraway and the journey they go on. It all starts when Stargirl mysteriously shows up to Mica High. She is like nobody else they have ever seen, she wears outrageous clothing, she brings her rat (Cinnamon) to school every day, and she plays the ukalale at school in front of the whole school. She sticks out like a polar bear in the desert at Mica High. That's why Leo is so surprised when he finds himself falling in love with her, he's even more surprised when she falls in love with him. Together they go on an amazing journey through the ups, the downs, and the in betweens.
I loved Stargirl because of how well it expressed the struggles of peer pressure and popularity, the only thing I didn't like was how it ended, I think that the author could have had this book and the sequel line up better. But all and all I thought Stargirl was an amazing book.
Flowers For Algernon by Daniel Keyes, written by EmmaFlowers For Algernon by Daniel Keyes is an amazing book about Charlie, a man with an extremely low IQ and Algernon a mouse. It all starts when Charlie finds out about an operation that would hopefully raise his IQ. He is so determined to get smart that he does it with out considering the risks. As his intelligence grows he finds that he is able to able to beat Algernon (the lab mouse who had the operation done before Charlie) at mazes that he had once struggled at. He soon becomes extremely intelligent, so intelligent that he struggles to find connections with other people. When Charlie finely snaps he realizes what has been happening and decides to put a stop to it.
I thought Flowers for Algernon was an amazing book, I thought some parts were a little hard to understand because they consisted of journal entry's and because in some parts Charlie couldn't spell. But all in all It was a a great book. I would recommend this book to anyone who was interested in science fiction, mystery, and romance.
