139590 When Jacobs grandpa dies of a mysterious attack he takes it upon himself to find the reasons behind his death. This takes Jacob to an island on which he finds miss peregrine and her bunch of mysterious kids. These kids have strange abilities, such as the girl who floats or the invisible boy. Jacob heard a lot of stories from his grandfather about this place with peculiar people, but as Jacob explores more on the island he uncovers a bunch of secrets about his grandpas connection to this place, and he begins to become fond with miss peregrine and the mysterious kids.
I would highly recommend this book, it is good for me because there are more books in the series and I will be able to keep reading it. It was scary and a lot of action and a few times you kind of had to solve the mysteries on your own which I enjoyed. I would recommend this book for ages 13 and up, it gets a little complicated at times but it is always explained in some interesting way.

139590 Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow tribute from her district Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their rules. The Capitol is angry, The Capitol wants revenge. Suzanne Collins continues the amazing story of Katniss Everdeen in Catching Fire, the second book of the Hunger Games series.
I loved this book and the series gone with it. It was suspenseful and action packed. The sequel to the amazing first book. I would give this book five stars. It seems middle school or late elementary school age appropriate to me and it is a fun book that I hope you read or have read.

139590 Josephine Russing has been made to accept many things in her life. Her father ignores her. She doesn't have any friends. But that all changes one day with the arrival of a boy named Fargus in her back yard. When searching for him, Josephine finds herself taken into a parallel universe where almost all children are gone, and everyone fears the leader of the land called the"Master." After rejoining with Fargus and his friend Ida, Josephine sets off to solve the mystery of the "Master" and return home to her father.

I would give this book a good 4 stars. At this point I have read this book twice and plan on reading it again later on. This book has an interesting plot that will keep you reading and amazingly set characters and settings. Carolyn Cohagan Does a great job of capturing your attention and make you love it. This book is definitely a book for all ages and genders. With creativity at its finest there are mythical creatures and inspiring characters each with their own beautifully written background.

139590 When Keeley accidentally swaps phones with her brothers enemy and the star quarterback of the opposing high school football team, she must put up with and push through the arrogant ego, and maybe find a sensitive side of him that most people don't see. During the week Keeley has his phone and he has hers they get to know each other better. Though some pranks are played and some feelings are hurt Keeley finds her way to the less of arrogance in him. She thinks she is going to get her phone and go but when they finally meet in person she gets oddly fascinated and keeps in touch a little longer, but will she end up becoming more than interested in this boy.
I think this book is for older audiences of maybe 6th graders and up. There are some sexual references and inappropriate comments but other than that it was a funny book that I quite enjoyed. 4.5/5 stars.

139590 Hispanic girl from a family of teen pregnancy, not a surprise Gaby's pregnant herself. That's what people said when she walked in to school with the news she was carrying a child. But she wasn't, it was a test, a project to show the stereotypes of a Hispanic teen mom. What her friends and family, people who thought it was real, what they said and thought, how they acted upon the "pregnancy". Often caused her to think of quitting, but she knew her cause and she knows what she has to do. How will her boyfriends family, her family, her friends and complete strangers react to the event and how will it effect the final reveal? If she doesn't quit first...

139590 Book one in the series, 4 friends find themselves re-grouping and working together after three years of drifting apart after another girl in there group went missing almost three years ago. The girl who went missing knew almost ALL of their secrets, some might have called her the leader of their group, the four girls have come together to find out who has been sending them messages full of things only Alison( missing girl) knew, or so they thought... They've all gotten the texts, they all need to work TOGETHER to catch who's behind the secret messages, and this book is the beginning of how they ALL have to stop them.
I would recommend this book series to middle and high school kids that have an interest in drama and some good old stereotypical high school scandals. This book had a lot of adult topics and less inappropriate talk on certain subjects. Other than that, it's a great drama with secrets, secrets that people shouldn't know. Secrets that someone does know, and will use to their own advantages.

139590 Rownie, one of the few owned by graba the witch in the future town of Zombay, and his older brother were taken in by graba after a few unfortunate events happened to their parents. After they were taken in graba, she used them to do her bidding. They ran her errands, cleaned the house, and helped feed and assist everyone else in grabas household. After his older brother goes missing, He soon realizes that staying with graba is a bad decision on his part. But graba has grown quite fond of rownie as did she to his older brother. So just like She had when Rowan went missing, she sent all of her other children to find Rownie. Little did they know rownie had gone on to join a band of goblin actors, because in the town of Zombay you were only permitted to act if you were not a real resident of the town, and since the goblins aren't human they are not considered part of the town. Anyone caught breaking that rule would be taken.
After graba learns where Rownie has gone off hiding she starts doing everything in her power to bring him back, because the floods are coming, and they are something sh knows row I can stop but she also knows it's something she does not want to prevent. I would rate this book a solid 4/5 stars for all ages, a crazy and adventurous tale of nonstop suspense and comic relief. It will leave you wondering, how far will graba go, and is it even beyond her limits?...
139590 Minnie mclarys uncle is building a helicopter in the basement. Her dad lost his job and they moved to a new home and a new school along with it. Her teacher ms.marks has a hippie way of teaching and has probably broken every dress code the school has including a tattoo!!!
Minnie's life took some serious turns since she moved to this small town. Her teacher miss marks thinks it's best to ask questions to solve problems. Well then why is her uncle building a helicopter in the basement? Is he crazy? Why did her dad lose his job? Why do people make fun of her friend Amira's headscarf? What do people see so bad about miss marks choice of clothing? How can she fix it all?
I liked this book because it teaches you to stand up for what you believe, bUt doesn't tell you what to believe. As Minnie struggles through middle school Valerie Hobbs will make you feel as if you are there with them. This books writing style makes it sound like the author is writing it all down AS its happening and unfolding.
I think kids of any ages could read and like this book. It's because of how much they could relate if they're in elementary or middle school.i hope this encourages you to read it, it took me a while to get into the book so stick with it a while.
