I would feel uncomfortable at first with my new surroundings and meeting new people but once you get used to it, I don't think it won't be as bad.

Yes because there is still racism and discrimination against African Americans today and I think one of the main themes of this book was to not judge someone by their skin color.
I think The Help causes controversy depending on a person's view on slavery and the treatment of colored people. Although we live in a changing world where racism isn't as bad as it was during this book's time period, many people today still act differently to people with colored skin.

I am most excited about the 5th wave because science fiction is fun to read about and many people recommend it.
Would the movie version of 'The Help' leave out some parts of the book because it is too explicit?

I don't think so because that's what makes the book interesting and real, and gives you an insight of what life was like for colored people back then.
