The poll is up! I tried to choose the books that was mentioned the most in this thread, hope everyone is okay with the selection :)
I have read The Darkest Minds, and I kinda did not like it as much as everyone else, unfortunately. I need to read it again, because I think I missed something that made everyone else love it :p I haven't read any of the others, but I'll add them to my TBR!My all time favorites are The Percy Jackson series and The Heroes of Olympus series. Also the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi and Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover. Haha, so difficult to pick only one!

Me too! :D
Carlie wrote: "Something by Jodi Picoult!"I haven't read anything by her. Which book do you want to read? :)
Caroline wrote: "I'm so excited, I've been wanting to read this book for ages but I've never gotten the time to read it. Maybe this book club will give me some motivation to pick it up and actually read it!"I hope it will!
Here are my own suggestions:
Wonder by R. J Palacio.
The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz
The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
So the suggested theme for November was love (not romance)! I thought this was an awesome idea, since we all need a little love on those cold november nights! Here you can suggest books that will be featured in the poll that will go up sometime in October!
The book must be about love in some way, but not a romance (We'll save that one for February!)
What are you suggestions? :)
The Shining is divided in five parts, so I'm doing the easy thing and have five different threads, one for each part :) Here we can discuss the first part of the book! (No spoilers after that part!)
Is everyone excited about reading The Shining? I am! This book has gotten a lot of praise, and it is kind of a horror classic, so I'm very excited to finally read it!
This is also my first Stephen King book, so I'm very looking forward to read something by him :)
A little tip for the ones who does not own the book, you can get it for $2.49 on kindle!
PLEASE NO SPOILERS IN THIS THREAD!
Gitte wrote: "The Shining! :) So excited! (But first I have to finish the book for September, ops.)"Yes, so excited!
Anniken wrote: "I couldn't find the poll-winner, but it is the shinning? :)"Yes, it is! Awesome! Also, to see the poll results, you have to click on polls in the menu to the right :)

I really like the plot even thou..."Totally agree with you! It's cool that in focuses on the science, and not the romance part :) Kind of predictable, but not the ending, I think.

I did not think about this, but maybe because she wanted him to be a part of it? Wanted to make him understand? Or maybe just wanted an excuse to have him there with her. I don't know, seems like the author needed her not to use her own :p I don' remember exactly if there was another reason.
