Far too much romance in the series. I love Riordan's writing, but I feel like half the time he has no idea that teenagers are capable of platonic relationships. It's irritating, but ya in general is being dominated by puppy love.

Percy Jackson/ Heroes of Olympus, Hunger Games, Darkest Powers, Vanished, Mediator, Warm Bodies, The Fault in Our Stars, Looking for Alaska, basically anything by Sarah Dessen, and the Naturals. And Black Butler (the anime).
