I was reading Rena's Promise and I finished it. I've noticed and marked in my journal all the roles. I've noticed that selection was very similar. Also toward the end of the war Rena and danka had to choose between staying at there camp or walking with the soldiers to another destination. They choose to go just like elite and his father did. There were people so selfish just like the son who killed his father for food. The brutality of the SS against the women was astonishing.
My thoughts have changed from Tom to Daisy because her new found independence is causing a disruption of order. When she started cheating on Tom with Gatsby, i was thinking way to stick up for yourself but as it went on all it did was give Gatsby false hope that they would get back together. Then Daisy decides to work thing out with Tom after the hotel incidents. Daisy has the ability to break hearts and in this case break Myrtle.
There are a lot of good examples for marxism in the book. I found 6 connections and i can easily find more if i needed to. The easiest theory i thought was feminism because you going through the book kept calling out examples for it and Tom always had something to say that would contribute to sexism against women.
I think Gatsby is the most dangerous because they're a lot of rumors about him and what he does and no one knows the truth. Even when he talks to Nick about the truth, it's still a little fishy. There's still a lot of questions unanswered about him.
