We are already doing a weekly reading log. The ideas I am taking away are ways to revamp this a little bit and the opportunity to give more class time to actual reading for pleasure.

We had great discussion about the exciting ideas in this book. We would love to find a way to get our students to begin to build their stamina by reading something they truly enjoy. In the reading thus far, I found that I am probably the poster child for someone that didn't like to read when I was in school. My love for reading came after I graduated from college. It began just like she says, with pure fluff that I found entertaining. I graduated from Kathleen Woodweiss to Elizabeth Eliot all in one summer. The idea of knowing what you are going to read next is an interesting thought too. I have found that if I don't have another book waiting, I often will go several weeks without reading between books. If I have one waiting, I don't miss a day.
