I guess I'll try to squeeze this in during the month. Maybe I'll try to stretch it out over the whole month. =) I've been meaning to read Sullivan's books for years now. The guy is just a good guy. I was actually saving them for a time in my life when I was depressed, to help me get through it, but I should check it out now, since I have all his books. =)
I totally forget Toblakai from deadhouse gates. Excellent that the people of Shaik are coming into this
Loved this chapter. Very cool how everything is tied together from older books. Thanks for leaving comments so that I can follow them while I read.
Ughhh, just read this chapter. I am reading a zombie book in parallel to this book and these Tenescowri are so much worse than actual zombies.
I hope that I end up liking the Caputan characters as the story progresses. Right now, I am annoyed that they are taking away attention from the other characters. lol
I need a flow chart for this chapter's characters, lol. Thanks for the comments they are helping me out guys.
I just want to say thanks for everyone that did all the hard work this month reading and replying. I am just now starting the book and will be reaping the benefits of all you guys having great discussions. I just wanted to say thank you.
I read Tigana a few months ago but I just wanted to mention how amazing I thought chapters 4 and 5 were. These are on my list of 2 of the best chapters I have ever read in fantasy fiction. The hunting lodge scene was just perfect.
I'm looking forward to it. Once again, I have a few books ahead of this one at the start of the month. Not sure when I'll start but it'll probably be around the middle of the month. Hope everyone has a good time reading.
I read this in December, so I'll stop by now and then, to see how people are enjoying it. Have fun! It is a good book.
Hey Alex, what was your interpretation of Laseen and the corpse? I think maybe it was Topper and her using that corpse so that she could communicate with Kalam to see where his head was at. Kalam figured out she wasn't really there and if he tried to kill her, Topper probably would have killed him. Her getting upset with the mention of the rebellion in the Seven Cities might be in some way connected to her fleet arriving with Tavore. What do you think?
I just hope that Mel Gibson never creates the movie based off this book. That 3 leagues of crucified soldiers would be brutal to watch.
