Best I’ve read in a long time.

You all must read The Hate U Give!!

I did not finish last years challenge, I got in a really bad reading slump. I would try to read and I just could not get going or get interested in anything. I've had lots of things going on in my life, so I'm going to try and do this challenge and hopefully (fingers crossed) I can get back in my reading groove. I am or was a readaholic!! I need my mojo back!!! Please, help encourage me! I am an elementary library media specialist, so I have to set a good example for my babies. Thanks!

I know that list, what I am asking do we read from that list or any award list. I have seen some posting books not from that list.

Is this category JUST for The National Book Awards presented by The National Book Foundation or just any book that has won some award?

I just finished The 5th Wave a couple days ago.

I will be reading Winter since I read the other 3, Cinder, Scarlet, & Cress, I loved them. I read Cruel Beauty, not that good.

I'll probably try to get as far as I can, but honestly some categories I can't fill. I am an elementary librarian and have so many other award books to read that do not have a category for this challenge.

Does the entire book have to take place during Christmas? I read a book where part of the story was during Christmas.

A Child Called It made me cry a lot.

I read The Book Thief, it was sad, but I didn't cry!

I think on another thread there were suggestions. There is a list here on Goodreads as well. I'm reading Wild right now and I've cried twice, the first chapter I sobbed terribly!
