I figured it was more dystopian, it so far kind of reminds me of Queen of the Tearling. At least the world the story is set in with our world being the "old world". I was sad to see her brother was murdered. I'm enjoying this so far, are we going to discuss the rest of the books? I noticed there weren't threads for the rest of the chapters.

She has a cool power so far the whole princess training reminds me a little of The Selection. In fact didn't this book get compared to that and Game of Thrones? I have a feeling that there will be a love square between her Cal Marvin and Evangelina. Who I already can't stand by the way. Also the nickname for a little annoying after a while.

I'm glad to know a map will be included.

I like the characters, I agree about the world it's kind of hard to "see". I thought the scarlet guard was an interesting twist and the fact that the brother is in it. I'm looking forward to continuing tonight.

I will be reading the Red Queen with you guys. This is my first book for this group I'm so excited to read it. I've been seeing it everywhere!

If I have the time amongst all other books I will sure try!
