Only read The Committed on your list and enjoyed it. Found 2 of the other 3 on Overdrive…I read Meiko’s Breast and Eggs and hated it; I hope Heaven will be better…
Thanks! I’ll have to see which of the remaining 41 I need to read! I think that perhaps Ulysses should have made that list. Of those listed that I read, Infinite Jest was clearly the most challenging and Zen and Art of Motorcycle Maintenance probably had the most impact on me personally.
Great list! I have read 64 of these! I will never stoop to reading Ayn Rand and do not understand why her poorly written odes to hypocritical selfishness always get so highly ranked. Glad to see both Pirsig novels here. I think Proust deserved a higher ranking. But otherwise, thanks for this list.
