On your profile page you say you're a minor so let's wait until you're not.

Done. I understand too. GR isn't a social service. Still, we can bitch.

15807 Goodreads' announcement of the upcoming end of messaging between members is a blow. Connecting directly with readers has always been a big part of my experience as an author.

So, I'd like to make an offer. Send me your email and I'll send you a free copy of any one of my books. I will not share your information with anyone and ask that you not share your copy of the book. Once read, I'd love it if you posted a review. Not a requirement but a wish. I will not harass you.

After that, I'd like to keep you updated with news of my new books, like the one I'm working on now. Bill & The Kid will be the latest in the Pierre & Bill series - a tough call if you've read number two. It's due next year.

You will not be inundated with messages, but receive only one for each forthcoming book. Anytime you want out, just say so and I will trash your information and leave you alone.

If we're not GR friends already, Friend me and I'll confirm. Then we can exchange emails.

Thanks.

Patrick

15807 ‘Pierre & Bill Now’ will be released almost a month from today (27/02/2024). The story stands on its own but revisits characters from an earlier book: ‘Pierre & Bill: A Love Story.’ Early reviews are encouraging, but they all say the same thing: read the first one first. So, let’s make that happen.

For a limited time I will give a free advance reading copy of the first book to anyone who asks. All I ask that you read it by the end of February and post a review. Message me and it’s yours. Thanks!

15807 Ulysses Dietz is a wonderful reviewer. He’s able to write about a book and not dissect the plot or reveal the ending. His reviews are so well thought out and so well-written, they stand on their own as reflections on writing. Of course, I may not feel this way if he’d given my book a bad review. But that’s the thing with Ulysses, he only reviews books he likes. There are no low-star reviews from him. And I don’t know if this is true for other authors, but in my case, he sees things in my books that even I didn’t see. But they’re there. It’s as if I do my best writing while unconscious.

15807 This review of Seeing Sean is so layered and rife with cultural references that I had to read it several times just to find out if they even liked the book. I think they do.

15807 A first take on Van Alone from Ulysses Dietz:

“Van Russo is kind of a jerk. However, he’s a jerk for a reason, or a number of reasons, and this marvelous, oddly tender novel—part mystery, part romance—explains what those reasons are.” https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

15807 My new book, Van Alone, will be out on September 1st, 2022. Mystery, adventure, and romance weave their way in and out of a story about a difficult man with a murky past whose ordered world collapses around him. His father dies. He inherits the family home. A mysterious man appears. Then all hell breaks loose in this rock-and-roll tale where Indiana Jones slips down the rabbit hole.
