The thing I love most about Mr Thorton was the way he would help Margaret & her family without expecting anything in return.

When Margaret & Henry had their meeting in the study about using her money to help Mr Thorton save his mill I think that was when Henry realized he didn't have a chance with Margaret because she already loved Mr Thorton.
