I wouldn't mind doing one book a month, as this is a series I could not binge read, especially with the friendship is everything trope (bleh)

But I am curious about the "ghosts" that she seems to see after a fledging dies.

Hello! Yeah, it lasted for almost two weeks, and I just got over the congestion. I only have about 50 pgs left, but it gives off "friendship can solve all our problems" vibes, and I'm not really into that, so I've just been putting it on hold.

I'll probably continue the series, but I don't know if I can make it through all of the books if the plot doesn't start forming more and picking up, but I am interested to see how the romance goes.

I'm hoping to finish soon, work has been very busy because of Valentine's day and me being sick, i just wanna sleep. Would be interested in continuing the series? I own all of them plus novellas, if not it's alright.

I'm currently right after the dark daughter ritual.

I find the bullying of the gay friend to be very stereotypical and the two Twins to be a bit annoying. I do hope their is more personality to Erik Night, as he hasn't really done or said much so far. The amount of blondes is crazy too.

I do hope to see more plot conflict rather than just relationship conflict as something wrong is supposed to be happening within the school and I think involve the dark daughters.

The oral sex really threw me off, especially as they kept talking about it. I do hope there aren't any open-door scenes, those will probably be cringy.

Does it show my age that I don't understand any of the references that are made to actors and celebrities? xD In 2007 I was 7 and the only celebrities I liked were Chuck Norris and Johnny Depp.

I find it to be a bit of a palate cleanser as there isn't much thinking involved with this book. I do find a bit stereotypical and definitely get high school in 2011 vibes from it.

(view spoiler)[I am glad this book isn't instantly zoning in on romance like a lot of fantasy now does. I also suspect they have some kind of connection, given that each time they look at each other, they get a feeling. I was not expecting the hallway scene and such casual mentions of what was going to happen. I thought the book would be more clean romance, but as long as it's not full-on descriptions, it's fine with me. (hide spoiler)]

I'm about halfway through the book, and I'm interested to see where the plot is going to lead.

I graduated in 2019, I haven't started yet but I'm glad you said that so I know what to expect. I read Half-Blood by Jennifer Armentrout and the slang was very much 2011 XD

I'm also excited to get to it as i own the whole series plus novellas, I was wondering if we both like book one, perhaps we could read the whole series throughout the rest of the year?
