1618 @Baje glad to hear it was good. I adore Dolly and obviously love James so I was hoping it was a good book!

1618 Good to know! They all sound so compelling so I’m excited to read them.

1618 That's so great to hear, thanks for the feedback! I've added several to my list.

1618 I've been wanting to read Harlan Coben for awhile. I've watched a few of the miniseries based on his books (it's how I heard about him) and I really liked them. Wondering if anyone has read any of his books and if they liked them. Is he similar to Patterson? It feels like his characters are well developed, at least from the series and I've always loved how much you get to know Patterson's characters.

1618 I'll add them back to my list and try again. Has anyone read Run Rose Run that he wrote with Dolly Parton?

1618 I still need to catch up on WMC, those have been my favorite. I struggle with Cross but I think it’s because I listened to the audio versions and I just need to read them. Narrators can ruin books for me sometimes.

1618 Hey James, it has been awhile since the group was active with posts. Admittedly it’s been awhile since I’ve read a Patterson book but I have a few on my list and would love to see the group continue.

1618 Wow, Bluedaizy that sounds amazing. Must say I am jealous. Such a great way to spend the weekend.

1618 Well Annette all I can tell you is what I have read...it is supposed to take place in the US and be about our forefathers and secrets involving the start of our country. That's pretty much all I know. Does anyone know more or the release date? I am getting anxious!!

1618 Sorry Annette we bounced around in the conversation. The Solomon Key is Dan Brown's next book which has been delayed I think twice now. Angels and Demons is the next movie (based on Dan's book).

1618 At this point Bryan, I am thinking NEVER! Grrr...we love you Dan but hello we are in major need of The Solomon Key!!!! :)

1618 I liked the movie but I didn't love it. Hopefully Angels and Demons will be better. I have seen a quick preview and it looks good. We'll see.

1618 Annette, I couldn't agree more! Angels and Demons was amazing! I liked the Da Vinci Code but it doesn't come close.

1618 Bryan, of course you get a prize! Welcome to you and Amy!

1618 Stef, I haven't read either of those books, just the Women's Murder Club series and they are great. I think you will like them. Thanks for the info on those two books, I was curious about them.

1618 Good question but tough to answer. I think 1st To Die is at the top of the list.

1618 Everyone is entitled to their opinion in this group, so I want to make sure nothing gets personal in this forum. Baxter, you are probably right that some authors that are popular are not necessarily great writers however I would pose this question to you...then what makes them so popular? And I would pose this question also...does your dislike of an author automatically make them a bad one? Just playing devil's advocate.

1618 I too have never noticed it before. Other writers I have read do that as well, obviously it was more noticeable with other writers for me. I don't know if they are compensated maybe they are just trying to be descriptive?? I hate that you don't enjoy his writing Baxter, as I often recommend his books and created this group! :) Maybe you just don't enjoy the Women's Murder Club? Try the Cross series. I know a few guys that have read them and really enjoyed them.

1618 Joe I am still reading the 5th Horseman. Ugh...I never have time to read anymore but once this month is over I should have more time! What I have read of the 5th is really good though. Let us know your thoughts on 6th Target.
