In the book on page 17, the author makes the following statement: "The past and future never actually exist, although in the present we may notice that the mind project what is imagines the future to be or what it thinks the past was." Do you believe this to be true? Why or why not?
At the end of chapter 1, the author poses the following: "The failure of early childhood education in the United States is not that it has failed to life children out of poverty. The failure of early childhood education in America is that it has failed to educate." Do you agree with this statement? Why or Why not? Or you in the middle?
Dear Group, I will begin to post questions on the books next week for those that will be participating. Remember you can participate at your lesiure over the summer.

Dear ECE Book Group Members-We are about 2 1/2 months from June. I am hoping to start posting discussion questions and polls on the books that you choose to discuss. So far two are on the radar. Over the summer, feel free to drop in and out of the discussions and polls. Hopefully there will be some lively discussions. Each of the books can be ordered at a low cost as ebooks as well as Amazon.
I have Amazon Prime-so if there any of you that want to avoid shipping cost let me know.
Cherie
