Ok so it's no secret; I am REALLY STRUGGLING WITH THIS BOOK. I can't remember the last time I have been so fooled by the hype - this book is just one chapter dragging after the other and I'm even starting to doubt those who have promised me to stick with it because it gets better. Really, guys? REALLY?! What exactly is the story?! I couldn't even tell you.

I'm with you on this one, I've just finished part two and I'm quite confused as to what this book is supposed to be. I'm obviously curious to know the reasons behind the miniaturist's seemingly bizarre ability to send things that are so accurate to Nella's life but... I dunno... I'm personally finding the rest of it is quite dull. My interest piqued a little when Nella walked in on her husband and I liked how the dynamic of the household appeared to shift after this revelation but I'm still hoping something more captivating will happen so I can immerse myself in the last half of the book.

How is everyone else finding it?

I'm not gonna lie, I'm kinda struggling with this book... it's no where near as engrossing as I thought it would be but then again, it's not helping that I'm very much stopping-and-starting with reading this as this month has been quite busy for me. Loving the atmosphere, despising the characters but definitely still interested to see where it will go.

you guys feel free to start! I don't have my copy with me but can someone have a look and see if the book is split into obvious parts? that way we can have separate threads for each part and add our thoughts once we get to the end of part one, part two etc.
