I haven't gotten to that one yet JH. I'm currently reading Hot Pursuit and then plan to read Naked Greed. I'm also happy about the narrator. It doesn't feel like the same character when they switch narrators.

Some old characters are back, along with the passing of one old friend. ..."I am still waiting on this one from the library JH. Can't wait to get it. I was impressed with Stone in Paris Match. He always seems to barely skate by with his lady friends.
That's exactly how I feel. I gave read Andy Carpenter put I have read all the Plum novels. I fall asleep to Smokin seventeen every night instead of the TV because I have to have noise. Plus I wake up in the am happy because Lula cracked me up while I was sleeping.
I don't have a favorite either. If you haven't read the first ones I would start at the beginning of the series Patrick. For me they go up and down in rating but I have never really disliked any. The closest I have come to not liking one is The Son of Stone. Like JH said Woods sprinkles his characters among his series and you could see any of them at any time. Another favorite of mine is Holly Barker and Stone makes appearances in those frequently.
Dawn wrote: "So I recently got my dad into the Series and he on book 3 and slowly becoming addicted to the point where he will read it at home and not just waiting in the doctors office. So he finished book 2 ..."I can't think of who it was Dawn. I was thinking it was her ex that was her architect but I think that was a later book.
I think that he likes the challenge JH. The one in the last book really got him though. I have also been wondering if maybe Woods is priming us for a series with Peter being the MC.
Jh wrote: "I loved the Spenser Detective series by Robert Parker, now deceased. They go back a ways, the first dozen or so are actual cassette tapes. I figured out a way to play them. Spenser has a pal, Ha..."I have listened to several of Robert Parker's books and loved every one. I am also into Baldacci's King and Maxwell and also John Puller.
Matt, I love Stuart Woods and Stone Barrington. I have also come to love Jack Reacher by Lee Child. Another A/A that I enjoy is Harry Bosch by Michael Connelly.
I totally agree Matt. I have just ordered the first book because I have never read it but I have read the rest of the series with the exception of a couple. I also love his Holly Barker series which are set up the same way. Holly and Stone even hook up in a couple of novels.
Just finished Unnatural Acts and I loved it. The book had more of Herbie Fisher and Dino than Stone but it was great. So much better than Son of Stone. After that one I thought Unnatural Acts would have been about Peter but it wasn't. Anyway, great book.
So far this book has been about Herbie Fisher. Stone and Dino are in it but most of the action has been with Herbie.
I finally got Unnatural Acts from the library. The waiting list was long for this one. The book starts out with the closing of Elaine's. She had died six months previous and of course Stone and Dino had to close it down.
While I didn't care for Son of Stone I am listening to D.C. Dead and it is back to norm. I love Stone and when I listen to the audiobooks it's homey and comfortable. So glad we are back on track.
