Children of Time is one of my favorite scifi books. I have a background in biological science and the spider society and evolution was easily my favorite part of this book.

I agree with Shel that the way Tchaikovsky interprets different species is brilliant. I read Children of Ruin this year and gave it 5 stars. (view spoiler)[ The way he changes the perception, perspective, and motivation of the spiders and then the octopi is amazing. (hide spoiler)] I'm looking forward to Children of Memory in a few months!

I'm also reading A Drop of Corruption. I enjoyed the fantasy twist on Sherlock and Holmes in The Tainted Cup. 20% in and enjoying it so far!
