It all depends upon your country. The UK, Canada, and Australia use "defence" however Americans use the more antiquated "defense." Both are correct, much like offense and offence, neighbor and neighbour, etc....
Okay so this is starting to sound slightly tyrannical and a little elitist and is going to start flooding your group with useless and insincere messages. People should not be forced to comment for fear of being deleted from the group. Perhaps everything they need has been discussed by someone else. Would you really like 50 messages in a topic discussion that says "i agree" or "i like what ___ said". Some people just like to read and will comment or post IF THEY FEEL THEY HAVE SOMETHING TO CONTRIBUTE not because they have to.
