I actually owned the book and have had so many resource books there's no way I'll remember the title. I've done searches all over the internet hoping to find some clue. My best bet is a group of readers who may have it in their stash :). I like the idea of keeping a record of all the historical quilting resource books I've read. There are only a few I don't own that I've read through the library though :).
Yes, the book itself only had one chapter at the back. If I destashed it you can bet the main subject wasn't about hand quilting. The problem with finding the book is that there are no clues to this chapter in the title of the quit book itself :(Thanks for your reply, Jean. :)
Just finished Welsh Quilts by Jen Jones.I've been recently collecting old quilting books with information on the historical side of Welsh Wholecloth quilting.
I am looking for a book that I must have destashed because I cannot find it now. In the back of the book was a chapter on a woman who drew out the designs for wholecloth quilts. I remember there was a photo of a drawer she had of her quilting stencils that were cut from cardboard and some from tin. If anyone has this in their collection or knows the title I'd be thrilled.
Thanks for your help and glad to meet fellow quilt historians!
