168927 I read Roald Dahl's The BFG, then watched the movie. Against all odds, I enjoyed the film more, though when it's directed by Steven Spielberg, is it really that surprising?

Okay then, pause till we get there. And yes, the movie is amazing. One of the best adaptations I have ever seen. Not as good as the book, but that's how it goes...

I haven't even read The Wise Man's Fear (The Kingkiller Chronicle, #2) by Patrick Rothfuss yet. I'll try to space it out so that the wait isn't particularly painful.

Loved it. Great protagonist, great rival, great love interest, great magic, great music, but most of all, great storytelling. Most quotable book I've ever read.
