170701 I am currently reading Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella. Kinsella also wrote Confessions of a Shopaholic so the tone is just as fun and hilarious as that book. I recommend it as a light read for anyone who is interested in the author.

170701 I also just finished The Boy Who Couldn't Sleep and Never Had to. I did not like this one very much as it started out really good and funny, but quickly became odd and science-fictional.

170701 I just finished The Shining by Stephen King. I really liked the plot, it's about a man who gets a job as a caretaker for a hotel in Colorado for the winter. He takes his family along with him and before they know it they are snowed in. To add to their cabin fever the son is seeing the ghosts of people who have died in the hotel. I enjoyed the book however it was very long, a little too long. If you are not patient with very detailed stories than I wouldn't recommend it, however if you do like that this is a good book for you.

170701 I recently finished reading Room by Emma Donoghue. It was an emotional novel told through the voice of a five-year-old boy who has lived his entire life in an 11x11 foot room. Although disturbing at times, the book is touching and telling about human nature and life in general. I would recommend this book to anyone

170701 I just finished my book Tell No One. It was a very interesting murder mystery novel about a man who's wife was murdered 8 years ago, but she appears to be sending him messages that only the two of them understand. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys this genre or anyone who likes a good plot twist

170701 I have just started reading Tell No One by Harlan Coben and so far I am really enjoying it. It is a mystery about a man whose wife was killed and eight years later someone is telling him that his wife is actually alive, but he is warned to tell no one.

170701 I am almost done with my book, A Tightly Raveled Mind by Diane Lawson. It is fiction but if find it really interesting because it is unlike any book I have read before. It is about a psychoanalyst who suspects her practice is being targeted by a murderer after two of her patients unexpectedly die.

170701 I am currently reading The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by Steven King. It is a thriller about a 9 year old girl who gets lost in the woods during a family hiking trip. I find it interesting how the author keeps it the reader engaged by having the girl talk to her self ad she is out there alone. However because she is alone there isn't a lot of interaction and it almost seems boring at times.

170701 I am reading The Autistic Brain by Temple Grandin. It is a non-fiction book about Grandin's own experiences with autism, the history of autism diagnoses, and new ways to approach the disorder. I am interested in the psychology of it and I find it fascinating that every autistic person is different, as many of them have different deformities in the brain that makes the attempt to cure the disorder much more difficult.
