Aaron - in response to your post, I've a few short stories on meeting up with the past through a spirit that lingers. One is a young Irish immigrant who was killed while a maid at a mansion. Another is of a Roman gentleman buried under city steps, while another is of a murdered is child buried under a house of prostitution. And a recommended reading is "20th Century Ghosts" by Joe Hill. Mind blowing twists and eerie visits.
