I've finally gotten to listen to The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. Darn this is a long repetitve book just like The Midnight Library. Oh, well, I only have a few more hours to go.
I'm a fan of Rick Bragg and I've read All Over But the Shoutin' because I saw him interviewed on CSPAN book club. That lead me to reading The Speckled Beauty: A Dog and His People and now I'm listening to The Best Cook in the World: Tales from My Momma's Table. I admit I'm skipping the recipes but the stories he weaves around the recipes are priceless.

Too many series that I mean to follow up on, so trying my upmost to not start any new one..."I've read all but the last three in the series but they were not written by M.C. Beaten but were co or ghost written so I've been putting it off for a while. I love Agatha and (LOL) in some instances I definitely identified with her.
Reading The Tuesday Club Murders by Agatha Christie.
I pulled one from the TBR shelf today A God Against the Gods by Allen Drury. I bought this and the sequel years ago and finally I'm reading at least one of them.
I'm currently reading an ARC of The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley. Although there is a mystery her books seems more thriller and suspense to me. This one, just like The Guest List is told from multiple POVs.
Jill wrote: "Now starting Different Class by Joanne Harris"I just finished her Blackberry Wine and really enjoyed it. It takes place in the same town as her Chocolat with a couple of the same characters as background. Enjoy!

by Georgette Heyer for the upcoming Heyer group read in February - a fun and funny favorite! After enjoying a visi..."I used to read her years ago and I remember I enjoyed her writing. Okay, so I just checked the library and they have a book that I think I'm going to download. Georgette Heyer by Jennifer Kloester. I blame you! LOL Oh and they have more than a dozen of her books available for download so just goes to show that people are still reading her!
I'm lucky enough to receive and e-arc of All the Queen's Men by S.J. Bennett. The Queen in the title is Queen Elizabeth and this is the second book in the series and, lucky me, the second one I will have read. It's The Queen's personal assistant who solves the mysteries but her Majesty is definitely present.
My name is Karen and I'm from NJ. I grew up reading mysteries, Margery Allingham (I love Albert Campion), Agatha Christie, Ngaio Marsh, John Creasey, Dorothy L. Sayers, and the more current Caroline Graham, P.D. James, Elizabeth Peters to name some of my favorites. I believe Agatha Christie was my first mystery author, even before Caroline Keene's Nancy Drew.I was lucky enough to have a Mother who would take me to the library every Saturday and we would pick out books. Later when we had a Summer home our main occupation was reading, in a chair, in the hammock or out in the row boat.
