He might write an interesting story but he doesn't write well. Why waste your time - there are so many incredible writers out there telling interesting stories but doing it with some finesse, intelligence, panache, just a pure joy to read.

Just read BLOOD KIN by Ceridwen Dovey. Debut book. She was raised in SA and Oz, now lives in New York. Worth ferreting around to find it. Strange story, set in an unknown country [SAmerica/Africa ?:] where a President has been deposed, and the story is related from the point of view of his Barber, his Portaitist and his Chef .. very clever.
