50x66 I have to watch the "that" problem, too. I was a technical writer for 11 years, and my boss was always pointing it out.

But I have to disagree with your theory about reviews based on my own experience as a reader BEFORE I became a writer. I often enjoyed a book without bothering to go online and leave a review. Now I always leave them for books I enjoy, but that wasn't always the case.

50x66 In the romance genre, it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that the hero and heroine are going to end up together so I don't think changing the POV hurts the story in most cases. It's kind of like when you are friends with two people who are just starting to fall for one another and they both confide in you. Who doesn't enjoy that kind of voyeurism!

Books that contain love stories that don't work out fall, I think, into an entirely different category than romance...general fiction, women's fiction, literary fiction...something other than simply romance.
