Please do this again next year. Although I obviously will not hit the 15 mark, it has widened my range of book subjects and authors. Thank you very much.
I picked Bronze Horseman from the list that no one had read yet. Sadly, I had to put it down halfway through. The setting is very interesting, taking place during the siege of Leningrad, but the main characters are not interesting and there is a lot of adolescent whining about unrequited love. Sorry, but I can't recommend this one.
So knock Maphead off the list! It was highly entertaining and please read the footnotes. Lots of great information, funny, and you don't have to be a map geek to enjoy it.I have to take a break from Homer books and read a book from my regular book club now. I'll be back.

I just finished The Son by Jo Nesbo. He is always reliable for a good read. It's full of dark and flawed Nordic characters. It draws you in quickly.I just started Maphead by Jennings. I wanted to pick one of the books on the not picked yet list and I love maps. Not as much as this guy though! Its interesting and a fast read. I will update when I'm finished.
Its already hot and humid way down here in Charleston, so there should be more time to read now, as I can't work in the garden in the heat.
I just finished Winter, which I substituted for Cinder, as I had read the rest of the series. It is a great series to read for fun. Space , plus classic tales of evil step mothers and android romance.
I'm from Way Off, South Carolina. I'm a die hard Dana fan so I ended up stumbling over the 15 in 16. I have convinced my local book club to read books from their list. I've read The Fifth Season and I am now on Winter, which I am substituting for Cinder, since I have already read all of the other books in that series. They are very engaging. Very happy to be here!
