I love I am Malala! What comes to mind for integrating the book with business is an idea from Half The Sky: micro loans so women can start businesses with very little money. These businesses, seeing or cooking, for example can help the girls/women provide for themselves financially.

I read The Ugly Dumpling by Stephanie Campisi, although this barely counts as it is food. I will need to look for more.

Under the Mesquite is set in Eagle Pass, I used to live in Texas so I'm anxious to hear how that one goes if you read it!

It's been required reading around here in schools for a while & is one of those titles I thought I would get around to reading; however, like Anne Frank (I agree it is dry at times) I feel like you have to make a point to read some books, especially if you're not in school .
