What is a book, song, AND movie you just have to watch for October to feel like spooky season?
♦ Song - Zombie Jamboree by the Rockapellas
♦ Movie - Addams Family. Morticia and Gomez are goals.
♦ Book - I reread Frankenstein almost every year.
Your turn!

A book you've been meaning to read: The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles by Julie Andrews Edwards
A book you should have read in school: The Handmaid's Tale
by Margaret Atwood
A book published before you were born: Like Water for Chocolate by Laura Esquivel
A book that was banned at some point: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
A book you previously abandoned: Newsflesh Trilogy, #1 by Mira Grant I got 3/4 of the way done with Feed before I gave up. Not what I was expecting.
A book that you have already read at least once: Lord of the Rings Trilogy by JRR Tolkein

I've been on Goodreads for a while but I wasn't super serious into it until the facebook sister site of this group.
I read whatever I can get my hands on. Honestly the only thing I can't stand are whimpering female leads, boorish male MC's, and historical non-fiction.

A book recommended by your local librarian or bookseller: Arya's Ghost by Vera Brosgol

A book chosen for you by your spouse, partner, sibling, child, or BFF: I can't for the life of me remember the title- but it's about Native Medicine women in history.

A book that intimidates you: Anything that isn't fiction. So I'll get a second recommendation from the Baby Daddy

Like, one year we do books turning into movies and the next is urban fantasy and the next is blah-blah-blahblah.

I think a poll to decide the book would probably be best, that way majority wins. Maybe once a year pick the least voted on book to switch things up for the underdogs in the group.
And there's my two cents! :)
