Hugs to you. I saw a list of tweets that memorialized her, and the one that brought tears to my eyes was from Paddington Bear: “Thank you, Ma’am”.

180736 I hope this works well- to be able to see properly again will be wonderful for you!

I wish they could give you an amnesiac so you don’t remember the procedure. That sounds like something straight from the Clockwork Orange movie.

You’ve got to be close to done with the list- talk about a super reader!

180736 Of the 1315 total, I've read 1144 as of today. I'm trying to get 10 books from the list read each month.

I have been working on this since the first edition was published, though- and I still have some books on the shelf that I bought back in 2007! I'm afraid those might crumble if I pick them up to read.

180736 I’ll sit this one out- I’ve read all but two: The Stechlin and The Singapore Grip.

180736 I’ve read all but 4. How is it I still have so many B authors on my shelf?

180736 I agree! Surely a specialist with a focus on your condition will have seen someone with similar trouble. Good luck! 🍀

180736 I’ve read, and enjoyed both. Une Vie was terrific- Maupassant is one of the gems I’d never have found without the 1001 list.

180736 Oh, wow. I hope they’re able to give you back your sight. And your reputation, since I’m sure you’re not a vampire! Right??? 🙂
Please keep us posted on your progress.

Which 3 do you have left?"

The Broch books and Them by Oates. I still have Camilla by Burney left, too.
