Thanks for telling me more about it! When trying to decide what to read next, this one was way low on the list for me. KNowing that it has appeal to low readers raises it some for me, but not that I might fall asleep!!

Wow this one is deep! So much is covered in this one story. It is not just a "rape" story. Its about rights, equality, friends, families, bullies, mean girls, I could go on and on. Really liked it! I want to recommend it to some of our sociology and psychology classes!
It must have been the audio Julie--i really liked it too. Of course this reminds me of how the kids respond about the books we love--some like them as much and some don't. we are all different in our tastes in reading.
This story is excellent! I think it could be a discussion that mirrors race relations without offending any one ethnic group. SCYABA1617NOM
