Passover preparation is INTENSE. You have to clean every crumb out of your house. And as I work full-time, my only serious cleaning days are Sundays. So you folks should organize as you see fit. All I can say is that Saturdays are a definite no, and Sundays are a maybe.

The truth is, as we get closer to Passover, it gets harder for me to get away.

I can't attend any Saturday meet-ups. I'm a strict Sabbath observer.

Bell Hooks, the author of the March pick, teaches at the New School. Perhaps our next meet-up can include her?

Cool! The truth is, earlier is better for me, but if you folks are going to be so accommodating as to actually pick a kosher place (and you didn't have to b/c I probably shouldn't spend too much money anyway), I don't want to be picky about the time.

In any case, the one thing the movie has on the book is the music. I just listened to "Miss Celie's Blues" for the first time in years. It's very much the feminist message of the book and this group. Have a listen yourselves.
