I am a former bookstore owner, from back when there were considerably more independent bookstores, and those remain my favorites. I love little quirky stores that you can wander around in and make fresh discoveries with each pass through. I'd rather see unusual titles and things I didn't know were out there than a slew of bestsellers I'm not all that keen on reading.
