I just finished it, sorry I'm so late because I think everyone else has already read it. But here's my two cents - overall I thought it was interesting and well paced. the author has kind of a flowy, elusive way of describing things which I like sometimes but other times it makes me stop and think what are they even saying? but the plot was complex enough that I had to finish it so that tells you something. I liked that everything got tied really neatly at the end; it made my OCD heart happy. I also liked that justice got served and she got the guy. It may have been contrived but better than her ending up in jail. I'm not sure if I understand how her turning Theo in as a stalker would clear her enough to make it so the police suspicion was off of her. unless I misunderstood and she set him up like he assaulted bethany? Anyway it wasn't the very best book I've ever read but it was a fun quick read.
I've been struggling with what book we should all read but I think I've picked one for the next book!
Yes, type away! :) I very much preferred the old man parts rather than the flashbacks. I felt like that was the most realistic part of the book. the flashbacks were intriguing and kept me engaged but I think mostly because I wanted to make sure the animals were ok. my favorite part of the whole book was when he went back for Bobo the monkey. what were y'all's favorite parts?
