Even while Rosie was smiling and performing as requested, she never did forget and was just waiting for the right moment to free herself and Marlena.
Agreed! Loved the old man parts and Bobo was such a cutie. I actually could visualize them walking around the menagerie, hand in hand. Naturally though my favorite parts involved Rosie the elephant! No surprise that my favorite animal would be an alcoholic AND conniving enough to free herself and then replace her restraint so that she wouldn't get caught. Hilarious!
Okay, am I supposed to type something here? Not sure, but I've got time so why not?? I think I discriminate against male narrators because I can almost NEVER get into a book narrated by a dude. That being said, did you guys prefer the old man Jacob's tale or the flashbacks the most??
