"Children’s picture book / MC is a girl named Yasmin(?) and features a younger sister

I’m trying to find the name of a picture book I owned around 2006. The main character’s name was Yasmin (or a close variant like Yasmine, Yasmina, Yasmeen, Jazmin, Jasmine). Painted/cartoon illustrations. One scene I clearly remember: the main girl has friends over for a playdate and they look at bunnies in a hutch / rabbit hutch. Her younger sister appears briefly. No other lines or cover details I can recall. Any ideas?"

"Book with clear or translucent sword

Begins with a younger female protagonist in a remote area who wants to explore the outside world possibly in a port town/island. One of the specific details I can remember is the clear glass like sword I think is described as a special metal in that world and being the same type that knights/paladin types use in that world. Male character and female character found the sword in a small cave or treasury pretty sure they were running from something. The other specific moment I remember was the female lead thinking about her destiny or importance as she is going through a burnt or destroyed city. It was a very thick book and I read it some time between 2005-2010"
