And another one by Jillian Tamaki is SuperMutant Magic Academy which is one of my all time favorite books. Period. It's super funny and quirky.

• Great Graphic Novels for Teens list from the ALA's Young Adult Library Services Association. They put out a rec list every year.• Graphic Novels Lib Guide created by Sophia Brewer.
• Also, this is a little messy, but Brewer also has a post on collection development for graphic novels, which has some great links to mailing lists, etc.

love love love Roller Girl. I actually heard about it after Stephen Thompson recommended it on Pop Culture Happy Hour after reading it with his daughter.
I'm Kristen from New York. I'm a full-time M.S.I.S. student and a part-time Graduate Assistant at one of my university's three academic libraries. I handle reference services, marketing, IR deposits, and a plethora of other tasks assigned to me. Within the last three years I really got into reading graphic novels regularly thanks to a friend. However, my relationship with the format started early as my sister actually taught me how to read with Archies that I would buy with my allowance when I was 5. The last good book I read was Giant Days, Vol. 2 by John Allison.
