Let's discuss Gather the Daughters. What are your thoughts on the premise of the book?

Drop your New Adult suggestions here.For those who dont know, new adult is where the protagonist is between the ages of 18 and 30.
So, I am about halfway through the book and I really don't like most of the characters. I cannot relate to them. As a mom, I don't understand Leonie at all. It makes me so sick that she is as selfish as she is. As far as the plot, I am enjoying it. It is the only thing that is keeping me from abandoning the book.
