Tracey’s comments from the The Light Between Oceans Read-A-Long group.

1. I agree that Gwen had the right idea but not sure she should have went behind her sister's back to do. If I was Hannah I would have been so angry. It would be easier for Lucy adjustment to have a little interaction with Isabel.

2. I didn't think Isabel would come to Tom's defense but was so happy when she did. I think she realized that was the right thing to do. I believe she came to realize she would never get Lucy back and she needed to help. Tom.

I also couldn't stop reading and had to finish the book.

I enjoyed getting to know more about Hannah and how she met Frank. Their story was heartbreaking.

Isabel believes at this point that her and Tom feel the same and that it is right that they keep Lucy. I thought it was Tom who sent the letter to Hannah.

As a Mom I am definitely on Team Hannah. I cannot imagine going what she went through. I can sometimes side with Isabel though because suffering through a miscarriage is heartbreaking.

I found as I got further into their stories it was hard to put the book down. Once we meet Hannah the story seems to change.

I am enjoying the book so far. Not sure if I liked the preface. Sometimes I am glad I knew what was coming and other times I wish it was left until we read about it.

The author makes me feel like I am on the island and paints a great picture for the reader. The descriptions of the surroundings allow the reader to picture the island.

Tom is a strong character who lives by the rules but loves his wife and feels her pain that he sways from the rules for her. He sees her bond with the baby and how it is helping her heal.

I cannot wait to see what the future chapters hold for them

Loving the book so far. Enjoyed reading about the beginning of their love story.
